GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., Feb. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — To honor U.S. troops and to give guests one more reason to visit Red Robin, the Gourmet Burger Expert will host a collection drive at The Lehigh Valley Restaurant Group’s (LVRG) Eastern Pennsylvania restaurants. From Feb. 18 – 28, LVRG and its Red Robin restaurants will join forces with the local community to collect basic supplies and food that will be shipped overseas to U.S. soldiers stationed abroad. Drop off boxes will be set up in the lobby of participating Lehigh Valley, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Harrisburg and Philadelphia-area Red Robin restaurants.

“Red Robin and our local team members hope that the supply drive will help to bring a smile to the faces of the service members who put their lives on the line to ensure our freedom,” said Patricia Sobaru, LVRG’s senior manager of marketing. “We’re greatly indebted to our service members for all they do both here at home and abroad, and this supply drive is a great way for the community to come together at Red Robin to support them.”

Throughout the 10-day period, Red Robin guests and local community members can visit participating restaurants to contribute to the supply drive, including Allentown, Easton, Bartonsville, Dickson City, Wilkes-Barre, Center Valley, Quakertown, Neshaminy, Exton, Reading, Hamburg, Hershey, Harrisburg, Silver Spring, Carlisle, Chambersburg, Lancaster, and Selinsgrove.

Guests are encouraged to drop off food or supplies, including: granola bars, toaster pastries, energy bars, trail mix, pretzels, instant coffee, instant hot chocolate, instant drink mixes, beef jerky, hard candy, cookies, crackers, canned spaghetti or ravioli, baby wipes, hand sanitizer, travel-sized soaps and shampoos, eye drops, deodorant, baby powder, lotion, toothbrush/toothpaste, tissues (travel size), batteries (all sizes), pens, mechanical pencils, paper, envelopes, crossword puzzles, word search books and tape.
