Booze, bacon and ice cream.
Now there’s a triple threat that’s hard to resist. Red Robin Gourmet Burgers has combined the three into a limited-time only Beam-N-Bacon Boozy Shake.
In recent years the chain has built a reputation for its line of beer and wine shakes. So it’s no surprise Red Robin turned all boozy with this creation.
For this shake, Red Robin blends soft serve vanilla ice cream with caramel syrup and Jim Beam Maple until it’s smooth and creamy. The mixture is poured into a tall glass and topped with whipped cream and bacon bits.
The real topper, though, is a strip of candied bacon stuck into each shake instead of a stirring spoon.
When I said booze, bacon and ice cream is a perfect combination, I wasn’t kidding. My impression after the first sip? It tastes just like breakfast.
I had images of warm pancakes drizzled in maple syrup with a side of hot crispy bacon.
It’s sweet and salty. The flavors are perfect for fall. If I had one recommendation, it would be to scoop vanilla bean hand-dipped ice cream instead of using soft-serve to boost the flavor and consistency.
The shakes sell for $4.79 and are available until Nov. 2 along with a specialty Southern Charm Burger. Its made with Black Angus beef coated in brown sugar and made with honey BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onions, lettuce and mayonnaise on a toasted ciabatta bun.
