November 29th, 2017

The Lower Macungie Township business, which employs more than 2,200 people, was honored Thursday during the 20th annual Delaware Valley HR Awards ceremony at the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia.

The award recognizes innovative human resource leaders whose work has successfully aligned a corporation’s business strategies while delivering strong performance.

Jodie Stetz, senior director of Lehigh Valley Restaurant’s human resources, heads a staff which includes: Natalie Loney, senior manager of HR services; David Burrington, senior manager of learning and development; Zach Bodnarchuk, manager of talent acquisition; and Laura Palermo, manager of restaurant training.

The restaurant group has restaurants in eastern Pennsylvania, including six Red Robins in Lehigh, Northampton, Bucks and Monroe counties. It was the lone area company among 14 businesses that entered the human resources competition. Other winners were Allan Myers of Worcester, Montgomery County, and SAP America Inc. of Newtown Square, Delaware County.

Lehigh Valley Restaurant Group won Department of the Year award in the small HR category, or those departments with five or fewer employees.
