Parents magazine named Red Robin as one of the “10 Best Restaurant Chains” in America from a survey they conducted to find out where families can get the most nutritious foods for the best price while also having the least stressful experience.
To compile their list, Parents magazine analyzed the nutrition information on both the kids’ and adult menus of more than 150 national restaurant chains. They then looked at the quality of the ingredients and other conveniences like call-ahead seating, online ordering, crayons to keep the kids busy, and availability of high chairs and booster seats.
Red Robin was recognized by Parents magazine for:
- Making healthy food fun. Red Robin serves its kids’ grilled chicken on Popsicle sticks, tosses a few colorful tortilla strips on top of the kids’ side salad, and makes its baby carrots more exciting with ranch dip.
- Making any menu item customizable for each guest’s dietary preferences. For example, any sandwich (for kids or adults) can be wrapped in lettuce or served on a whole-wheat bun.
- Its family-friendly, come-as-you-are atmosphere with appearances from Red, the restaurant’s well known mascot, free balloons on the way out, and kid-size sinks in the restrooms of new locations, to name a few.
This is the second time Red Robin has been included on a “10 Best” list by Parents magazine. In 2008, Parents magazine recognized Red Robin on their list of “10 Best Family Restaurant Chains.”
